- These baseball sliding shorts are exactly what young boys need when playing! The padding on the sides is perfect, and if you get the correct size, it doesn't really show through with baseball pants. They also have the insert for the cup, which obviously is extremely important! The size is accurate on the listing, however, I would definitely recommend taking measurements just to double check. You definitely want them to be a snugger fit. I had originally ordered the medium for my seven-year-old son, but ended up needing a size small. In terms of functionality, you almost have to have these when you're playing baseball, so having an extra padding is critical! They seem fairly durable, and they do wash well. They are 85% polyester and 15% spandex. The fabric is sweat, wicking, lightweight, and super soft. I would definitely recommend these!

- I purchased the XLarge in White for my 10 yr old who plays baseball, and he said they are very comfortable. He's learning how to slide, and I thought the shorts would help him feel a bit more confident because of the padding. The material of these shorts is very nice, and they fit him well. The fabric is thin, and a bit sheer, but they'll be worn under pants anyway, so I don't think that really matters. They are well made, and the compression is great (not too loose, not too tight). The cup pocket is very nice, although he doesn't yet use a cup, I can see how the pocket would be very beneficial in keeping a cup in place, especially for the catcher. He's able to move around easily in these shorts, and the legs don't ride up easily. The padding is very thin but solid. It doesn't bunch up, and I think it will provide some protection during games. He hasn't worn these shorts during a game yet, since its the off-season, but he's looking forward to really testing them out. I'm curious how well these will hold up to washing, specifically the foam padding, but I don't really have any reason to believe they'll fall apart easily. I think he'll be able to wear these for at least a couple of seasons, until he outgrows them.
